- News from Hellmut:
"The re-releases are still not out yet. But the insideout people
(the label) seem to work hard on it. The man in duty is: dirk jacob <dirk_jacob
@ insideout.de>. check him!
Kraan's sound engineer Günter Theis recorded about 30 other concerts
in the seventies (live from the mixing console). an early version (14
minutes or so...) of the track "Wiederhoeren" will be on the
("insideout/revisited" label) rerelease of the original album.
out soon, heard it, cried;-)
The "Nachtfahrt" album will contain a bonus track, composed
and sung by Gerry Brown (formerly KRAAN, now with Diana Ross...yesss...)
recorded at the original Nachtfahrt recording session in Berlin. Wiederhoeren's
bonus track is a live desk recording of the title track (before we had
a name for it!) including a bass solo...hmmm...(?!?!) "Live88":
our friend herr Jott (mister J.) contributed with a version of "Ausflug"

- At Kraanaholics (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Kraanaholics/)
one could 30.12.04 read the following lines from Hellmut Hattler:
"Peter and myself met a couple of times during the last two weeks
to check out each other's musical ideas, bits and pieces/peaces and received
a cd with the very rough mixdown of the collected ideas yesterday. I was
really surprised about the result... it seems like sometimes you just
have to be patient enough to get things together. are you still reading?
hahaha! ok: we'll record some of the tracks in early january at Jan's
farmhouse and see what's next."
"a (good) German label plans to re-release all the the KRAAN albums
from "Wiederhoeren" to "Through" next year (worldwide
distribution this time). but no contracts signed so far..."
