Each week you must start 5 players. 1 point guard, 1 shooting guard, 1 power forward, 1 small forward and 1 center. These 5 players are your acitve roster. The 8 teams are divided into 2 divisions. every week, your team will matched up against another team from either your own division or the other division. The Danish Sofa Basketball League week runs from Friday through Thursday.

2. Scoring---Scoring is based on an 8 category system. Each of the 5 players on your starting lineup for the week will accumulate statistics in 8 categories as his team plays games that week. The categories are as follows:

1. Total Points
2. Field Goal %
3. Free Throw %
4. 3 Point Field Goals Made
5. Rebounds
6. Assists
7. Steals
8. Blocked Shots

Your 5 players' 8 categories will be totalled for the week, and your scores will be matched against the opposing team's scores. Each category you win, gives you a point. A loss gives you 0 points. A tie gives you 0,5 points. The scores are totalled, and the team with the highest total score at the end of the week wins the weekly game. After the season. The statistics are generated using the box scores from NBAs website

NBA stats.

3. The Season---The season runs the entire regular season. After the first 16 weeks of the regular season, the playoffs begin with these matchups.

East Number 1 - East number 4
East Number 2 - East number 3
West Number 1 - West number 4

This is regular playoffs - if you lose, you're ready for an early vacation. Players not involved in the playoffs, will not contribute to scoring.
As it can be seen, the entire DSBL season lasts 19 weeks.

4. Rosters---All active rosters must be turned in to me by Friday 0200 AM (Eastern American Time). Any player not turning in a roster will start the same roster as the week before.

5. Trades and Pickups---All trades must be e-mailed to the commissioner before they can be accepted. All roster moves including trades, cuts, and waiver pickups must be e-mailed to the commissioner by the deadline (Friday 0200 AM Eastern Time) for the changes to be made for the next week. Any moves made later than the deadline will not be processed until the following week. All trade is suspended after the 4th last Saturday in the regular season. NO EXCEPTIONS. The commissioner reserves the right to reject any trade that is obviously biased or slanted to help another team, or has weird or unusual strings attached to them. If two players attempt to pick up the same player, the one that e-mails the commissioner first receives the player, the other owner will be notified by the commissioner that his move could not be made. The commissioner will post all waiver pickups immediately on the DSBL website.

6. Reports---A roster and transaction report will be available on the DSBL website. The results for the week and the standing will be posted on Friday. Any time that these dates cannot be met by the commissioner, all owners will be notified.

7. Draft---This is a keeper league. At the end of the season after the Championship game, each owner can protect 6 players. The rest of the players and new NBA draft picks are available in the common draft held in the two weeks before the start of the regular season. Future draft picks can be traded only for the following year. The draft order is determined by last season's final standing. Worst goes first and best goes last for each round of the draft. Trades for players and draft picks can be made anytime during the offseason. The draft is held by e-mail, a round a day. Any owner not making his/her pick in the alloted time will forfeit the pick.

8. Future---Any owner deciding not to play next year will lose his team and his franchise will be open. Another player will be found by the owner or the commissioner, and the franchise will be awarded to that owner. Any name changes must be made during the offseason. The commissioner reserves the right to add or subtract any rule to the above list to preserve the integrity and honesty of the league.
